About

I’m Sabrina, a civil engineering grad from rural Ontario, Canada. I’m a music junkie, a voracious reader, a lover of science (particularly relating to water), and a sufferer of wanderlust.

This blog is going to detail my stay in Honduras, where I’m living and working with Oxfam-Québec as an Environmental Advisor in a CIDA internship. I’ll be here until mid March, 2013.

This is my second sojourn to a Spanish-speaking country, and my second attempt at a blog. I’m not great with follow-through, so forgive me if I get distracted (but maybe heckle me a bit?).

Oh, and the name? Ventolina (as I understand it) translates to “gale” or “light breeze”. Which is a decent metaphor for my vagabondry. Plus, it’s a lot more poetic than the other rhyming words that I could think of, like “gasolina” or “concubina”.

  1. I thought ventolina was a funny way of saying you were using this blog to vent… haha. light breeze sounds much more pleasant 🙂 consider this your first heckle!

  2. Sabrina, realmente me has sorprendido. Sólo puedo decirte que saques el máximo partido a tu etancia en Honduras. Te iré siguiendo. ¡Un abrazo!
